Sky Culture is a similar project bureau as MatchingArts with more then twenty employees in Foshan and Shenzhen, both million cities in Chinese Southern province of Guangdong. MatchingArts serves as SkyCulture's Dutch office and SkyCulture is the Asian dependance of MatchingArts.
Since 2014 MatchingArts and SkyCulture work together on joint projects like international auditions, competitions, concerts, international tours, summer schools, Dutch Days Foshan and big exchange projects. Since 2019 the companies are official partners and will organize Foshan Arts Institute Presents: Canton Dutch Art Activities (brochure).
In 2020 they produced during the global Covid lockdowns ´24 Concerts: Music Without Borders 2022´ with 24 acts from 24 countries in six different musical styles (classical, contemporary, folkloristic/world music, jazz, rock and dance). Each concert was streamed live from each country with interviews, art exhibitions and promotion films about the specific country. Each group played two songs or pieces. The project was shown four times on Chinese social media with a total of 10 million online live visitors. MatchingArts took care about the artistic part and SkyCulture took care of other content and presentation from the ancient temple in Foshan.
In 2022 they present 1st Foshan Composers Contest. Future events will be Desert Art in Inner-Mongolia and Foshan Art Days in Europe.
